Glue lined or Bonded shrink wrap tubing is thicker than standard heatshrink, it is designed to be a secure and permanent method of insulating heavier wires, whilst standard heatshrink can if required be cut off, the glue lined heatshrink can't.
Adhesive lined heat shrink has little flex and so will not coil with the wire as smaller standard heatshrink will, therefore is primarally used for heavier electrical installations.
